Everson Resources, Inc. was named after its founder's birthplace of Everson, PA. The company was formed in 2008 as a contract surface mining company to meet the needs of an important customer's demand for high grade, metallurgical coal. Everson was tasked with taking over for a floundering company who could neither make the project profitable nor meet the coal shipment demand. The customer handed down a strict deadline and a coal quota, which required Everson to move a minimum of 300,000 cy of material per month, in tight quarters, then split, load, and ship up to 20,000 tons per month. This quota was expertly achieved through a combination of our personnel, equipment, and supervision. Everson has twice been awarded a national honor: the US Department of Labor Sentinels of Safety Award in the small surface coal group. This award recognized Everson for its outstanding safety record for 33,000 employee-hours worked without a lost workday due to injury.
